Returning Student Application Checklist:

Use this checklist as a guide to ensure that you have submitted all the necessary items for a complete admissions application by the deadlines below:

Desired semester Apply by
Spring (January) November 1
Summer I (May) May 2
Summer II (June) June 15
Fall (August) August 8

A complete IUPUI returning student application* includes:

  • Application for returning student admission (web form only)
  • Official college transcripts from schools attended since previously attending IUPUI

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is unnecessary for you to complete the returning student application if you have sat out from classes for less than one academic year. Instead, you should contact your academic advisor. Not sure who to contact? Click here for a directory of contacts.

*Additional information or materials may be requested once your application has been reviewed by the admissions committee.

1 You are responsible for requesting all of your transcripts. Federal regulations prohibit IUPUI from requesting transcripts on your behalf.

2 Do not omit any post-secondary institutions that you attended - even if you attended for a very short time period or did not receive any final grades. The Admissions Committee considers omission of institutional experience to be a deliberate falsification of the application and may result in denial of admission or dismissal from the University.

IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban research university. The campus enrolls more than 30,000 students in 21 schools and academic units.
